Wreckage of missing U.S. helicopter found in Nepal



he Nepalese army said Friday it located debris from a U.S. military helicopter that disappeared on Tuesday while delivering aid to earthquake victims.

Army chief of army operations Maj. Gen. Binoj Basnyat said no signs of life could be seen from the air, but could not give any information about the six Marines and two Nepalese army soldiers who were on board when it went missing on Tuesday.

Wreckage from the Huey helicopter was spotted in the mountains northeast ofKathmandu, an area not easily reachable by air or road.

The U.S. military has not confirmed the report.
